About me
David Corrington is a former U.S. Federal Agent with the US Department of Homeland Security. Prior to becoming a Federal Agent, David was a Criminal Defense Investigator for the Federal Public Defenders Office in Washington. In addition to Federal criminal investigations, David has managed corporate security for several fortune 500 companies. David is one of the co-founders of Defencify “an online security training company” and currently serves as an executive board member. David is currently the Director of Public Safety for the Salt Lake City Library. David received his Bachelor of Science in Justice studies from Arizona State University and received a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas. David started serving as security and safety chair for CORE (American Library Association). David speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese and has international investigative experience in Canada, Central America, South America, and Europe. I love to talk about security and safety in libraries.
