About me
Joanna is the Managing Librarian, Library Information Services at Athabasca University, where she focuses on creating teaching tools and providing inclusive instruction to the unique student body of exclusively distance students. In this position she has focused on creating accessible spaces for marginalized and diverse communities where she can engage students with creative teaching methods and active learning. She completed her MLIS at U of A in 2017 and spent most of her life living, working, and learning on Treaty 6 and 8 territories, and has most recently been living on Treaty 7 territory. She spends most of her time outside of the library skiing, cycling and exploring with her dogs.
